Seevia is a Physical AI company that turns real-world data into knowledge and action.

We believe the next generation of artificial intelligence will go beyond digital data to understand and interpret the world around us.

We develop our own technology that connects both worlds to help cities, infrastructure and mobility systems operate in a smarter, more efficient and more sustainable way.

Our story

2023 | From research to market

Seevia was founded as a spin-off of Universidad Carlos III de Madrid to turn years of research into solutions with real impact. Its founding team brings experience in computer vision, advanced perception, artificial intelligence and autonomous mobility, with a clear mission: to turn data from the physical world into actionable knowledge.

2024–2026 | Laying the foundations for growth

In its first years, Seevia consolidated its activity alongside leading companies in urban services, automotive and advanced mobility. The experience gained drove the development of its own solutions and platforms such as Seevia Waste, Seevia Drive, Seevia Horus and Seevia ATLAS, expanding the company's capabilities in digitalisation, intelligent analytics and asset management.

At the same time, its participation in national and European R&D projects, together with new lines of work in driver assistance, teleoperation and 3D digitalisation, strengthened the foundations of a growth model built on its own technology, continuous innovation and in-depth knowledge of its clients' business.

2026 onwards | From startup to European benchmark

Having validated its technology in real-world environments and launched its first own platforms, Seevia is entering a new stage focused on growth. The company aims to become one of the European benchmarks in Physical AI, developing technology capable of connecting the physical and digital worlds to transform the management of cities, infrastructure and mobility systems.

CEO – Co-founder

Juan Carlos Álvarez Mateos

Telecommunications Engineer from UC3M, Master's in Decision Engineering from URJC and Executive Development Programme at IESE. He has more than 20 years of experience in business development, commercial intelligence, marketing and digital banking, with management positions at Banco Santander, Banesto and Banco de Chile, and has founded AllValue Consulting and Livetickets. At Seevia he leads strategy, business development, relationships with strategic clients and financial planning.

Dr. Armando Astudillo Olalla

Industrial Electronics and Automation Engineer, Master's in Robotics and Automation and PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from UC3M, specialising in perception systems, computer vision, deep learning and control engineering. He has been Senior Researcher and AI Team Leader at UC3M and Digital Analyst at Santander Tecnología. At Seevia he coordinates the technical teams, leads the perception, computer vision and LiDAR solutions, and supports business and pre-sales.

Dr. Alejandro Barrera del Pozo

Graduate in Industrial Electronics and Automation Engineering from Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha, Master's in Robotics and Automation and PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from UC3M, specialising in computer vision, LiDAR and artificial intelligence. He worked for more than six years as a Computer Vision and AI Engineer on projects with OEM and Tier 1 companies. At Seevia he leads the developments in perception, LiDAR processing and AI applied to real environments.

Automotive Lead – Co-founder

Martín Palos Lorite

Graduate in Industrial Electronics and Automation Engineering and Master's in Robotics and Automation from UC3M, where he is a PhD candidate specialising in autonomous vehicles, localisation systems and realistic simulators. He has been Research Support Technician and Team Leader at UC3M and has taken part in programmes such as Airbus Explorer and BOSCH Startup Harbour. At Seevia he leads the design and implementation of the autonomous driving, digital twin and teleoperation solutions.
