Seevia participates in the ASVIC project to promote secure architecture for smart, connected vehicles

Seevia has participated as a technology partner in the ASVIC project: Research for the creation of a secure architecture for smart and connected vehicles, a strategic R&D initiative aimed at advancing the development of key solutions for autonomous, connected, and sustainable mobility.

The ASVIC project is part of the context of electric, connected, and autonomous vehicles as the central axis of future mobility. Its main objective is the research and design of a secure architecture for L4-level autonomous vehicles, capable of integrating advanced perception, localization, control, and V2X communications technologies, ensuring reliable interaction between vehicles and infrastructure in defined operating environments (ODDs) and at speeds of up to 50 km/h.

In this context, Seevia has made a significant contribution to the design of theconnected smart infrastructure, leading the development of systems capable of providing additional contextual information to autonomous vehicles. This infrastructure, based on perception and artificial intelligence, improves the representation of the environment, optimizes real-time decision-making, and enhances the safety and efficiency of autonomous driving and associated logistics processes.

The project also addresses research into robust, low-latency communication architectures supported by 5G and 6G technologies, with a special focus on cybersecurity, quality of service, and the reliability of V2V and V2I communications. All of this is complemented by the design and validation of critical security algorithms, advanced detection systems, and simulation platforms that allow the technologies developed to be evaluated in controlled laboratory environments, raising their level of technological maturity.

ASVIC is structured around six major lines of research and six main activities, ranging from the definition of secure architectures and the design of autonomous vehicles in limited ODDs to comprehensive validation using advanced simulators and open- and closed-loop testing. This comprehensive approach lays a solid foundation for future deployment phases in real-world environments.

The project is being developed in collaboration with a top-level consortium led by Renault, together with other technological and industrial partners, reinforcing the joint commitment to the advancement of safe autonomous driving and smart mobility.
